The Israel-palestine conflict date starts from the end of the nineteenth century. In 1947, the United Nations adopted Resolution 1981, known as the Partition Plan, which sought to divide the British Mandate of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. On May 14, 1948, the State of Israel was created, sparking the first Arab-Israeli War. The war ended in 1949 with Israel’s victory, but 750,000 Palestinians were displaced, and the territory was divided into 3 parts: the State of Israel, the West Bank (of the Jordan River), and the Gaza Strip 

At the break up down on 7th october 2023 hamas operative base in gaza launched yet another war in a region that has seen more wars then any other in history using a massage barrage of thousands of rockets and using technology and aggressive tactics they broke through a heavily protected border into israel, They hit military targets what stunned israel and shocked the world was their attack against civilian in communities and a music festival where thousands where gathered the body count was still rising but thousands where killed. Hamas took more than 150 people both civilians and soldiers hostage including foreigners visiting israel also people of at least 36 nationalist are dead or missing

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel has a "clear goal of destroying Hamas's military and governing capabilities", as well as freeing the hostages.

He has also declared that Israel will have "overall security responsibility" for the Gaza Strip "for an indefinite period" after the conflict, but Israel later said it has no plans to reoccupy the territory.

Israel has drafted 300,000 reservists for the operation, to boost its standing force of 160,000.

 


What happened during the Hamas 7 October attack on Israel?

On 7 October, hundreds of Hamas soldiers crossed from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, breaking through the heavily guarded perimeter fence, landing by sea, and using paragliders.

It was the most serious cross-border attack against Israel in more than a generation.

The gunmen killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, in a series of raids on military posts, kibbutzim and a music festival, and took hostages back into Gaza.

Earlier estimates put the death toll at more than 1,400.

Where is the Gaza Strip and how big is it?


The Gaza Strip is 41 kilometers 25 miles long, from 6 to 12 km [3.7 to 7.5mi] wide , and has a total area of 365 km [141sq mi] . With around 2 million Palestinians on approximately 365 km2 (141 sq mi) of land, Gaza has one of the world's highest population densities. The Strip contains eight refugee camps.

When Israel was established in 1948 many Palestinian refugees where forced to move to the strip of land. In 1967, Israel gained control through his power of Gaza after its victory in the Six-Day War against Egypt, Syria and Jordan.


A Palestinian uprising in 2000 unleashed a new wave of violence between Israelis and Palestinians, and Israel decided to leave Gaza in 2005, withdrawing its forces and removing some 9,000 Jewish settlers living there. 



Hamas and many other  groups have managed to launch attacks against Israel from Gaza, using rockets, drones and ground operations. Israel has responded with numerous military campaigns that have damaged infrastructure in Gaza and led to the death of many civilians. this was very serious and harmful attack on israel by hamas
